In a recent interview with the Wild Project podcast, Ilia Topuria shared his thoughts on fellow fighter Conor McGregor. The discussion stemmed from an earlier conversation with MMA journalist Gonzalo Campos, who had conveyed that 'El Matador' had reservations about McGregor. When questioned about his impressions of the Irishman, Topuria did not hold back.

Describing his initial encounter with McGregor, Topuria expressed:

"Super bad vibes! Look, analyzing people as human beings, let's look at Conor. A guy, his wife, his children, his family. I can't give an opinion, I don't know how these people are. He might be an excellent person, and I perceived his energy in a different way from what it is. He simply came to work, to put on a show. But the feeling I had when he was around was, 'Keep him away! Keep him away!'"

Both McGregor and Topuria have made their mark in the featherweight division, with the Irishman achieving historic success by securing the 145-pound strap in a mere 13 seconds against José Aldo. On the other hand, 'El Matador' is still pursuing his shot at UFC gold, with an upcoming opportunity against Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298 in a championship bout that will determine the division's reigning champion.
